Hibulb Powwow: Everett Community College hosts its 22nd annual Hibulb Powwow, “Keeping the Traditions Alive,” on May 10 at the Student Fitness Center, 2206 Tower St., Everett. The powwow features traditional American Indian dancing, drumming, singing, arts and crafts. Grand entries are at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. The powwow is free and open to the public. The event also features a kids corner for crafts, a tiny tots dance, a raffle and vendors offering arts, crafts and concessions.
National Train Day: Swamp Creek &Western Railroad Association of Edmonds hosts an open house 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 10 at the Edmonds Amtrak Depot baggage room, 210 Railroad St. Model trains will operate across a layout that features 400 feet of HO scale track that passes through miniature towns and detailed scenery as it follows an actual surveyed route over White Pass. The event is free. Parents must accompany children.

“SPY — The Secret World of Espionage”: From the collections of the CIA, the FBI, the National Reconnaissance Office and H. Keith Melton, the renowned author, historian and international authority on spy technology. Guests will see real gadgets and artifacts from spies and spy catchers. They will observe spy technologies and learn the tools-of-trade, some recently declassified. This once-in-a-lifetime exhibition grants guests unprecedented access into the world of espionage. Western Heritage Center: An interactive museum of mining, logging, agriculture, transportation, construction and wildlife. Kids will be entertained by noisy machinery, including an 1880s-era drill press powered by giant belts tied to a waterwheel outside the building. This exhibit shows how creative people had to be to survive without TV and cellphones. Seed drills, drag saws, potato diggers, gas pumps, vintage John Deere tractors, and more showcase the history of Snohomish County.
