‘Make It Better’
The world faces no shortage of challenges. What’s needed are ideas about how to make it better.
To that end, Solid Ground, Google and YouTube will team up at the Fremont Fair this weekend to film brief documentary interviews of fairgoers, asking, “What would you do to ‘Make It Better’?” The videos will be showcased on YouTube.
Videographers from Google and YouTube will roam the fair, asking people to share their thoughts. Also, a YouTube studio will be established at the corner of N. 34th Street and Phinney Avenue N., Seattle, at the heart of the fair.
“For 37 years, the Fremont Fair has focused on bringing people together to address community issues,” said Solid Ground’s executive director Cheryl Cobbs. “From the early ’70s, when we stocked our new food bank with donations brought to the fair, through last year’s House Build to End Homelessness, the fair has engaged people in building a just and caring community. This year represents a quantum leap, as Google and YouTube allow us to reach the whole world.”
Video will be uploaded to Solid Ground’s YouTube channel: youtube.com/SolidGroundWA.
