Green Edmonds
Mark your calendar for Sept. 13, when an outdoor showcase of eco-friendly products, services and information aimed at helping people live a greener life comes to downtown Edmonds.
The Green Edmonds Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Frances Anderson Center Playfield, 700 Main St.
Sponsored by Green for Good (www.greenforgood.com) with support from Sustainable Edmonds (www.sustainableedmonds.org), the highlights of the daylong festival include:
n Booths offering green, organic and sustainable products, services, food and drink;
n A children’s crafts area featuring recyclable and recycled materials;
n A solar-powered stage with live music from the classic-hits band The Murphtones.
Admission is free, and participants are encouraged to bike, walk, take a bus or carpool to the event. In addition, Shuttle Express will provide free shuttle service to the playfield from the former Woodway High School parking lot, 23200 100th Ave. W., Edmonds.
