Law enforcement officials say that if a child is missing, it’s important for parents to have a current photo and other important details easily available.
That’s one of the reasons why Roy Robinson Chevrolet, Subaru and RV Center is hosting a DNA LifePrint Child Safety Event from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at 6616 35th Ave. NE in Marysville.
During the free event, children will be fingerprinted and have their photos taken. Families go home with a completed safety kit that includes a home DNA kit. Information also will be put on a CD for the families to keep in case of an emergency.
Officials from the Marysville Fire District, Marysville Police Department and the Tulalip Police Department will be at the event to help out.
The child safety kit is for families’ use only. No database of information is kept by the car dealer or the authorities.
The event isn’t all business though. There will be a fire truck for the children to explore, learning activities and snacks.
