Gala and “No Impact Man”: 6 p.m. Feb. 11, the festival begins with the gala followed by the 7:15 p.m. showing of “No Impact Man.” The film asks the question, “What if a Fifth Avenue Manhattan family unplugs from the grid?”
“Avenue Montaigne”: 9 p.m. Feb. 11. We travel with Jessica who navigates the options on this Paris avenue.
Feb.12 films:
“Kitchen Conversations”: 10 a.m. Features professional women making pie dough, tempura and tamale pie, and making you hungry and nostalgic.
“Fumiko Hayashida”: 11:40 a.m. It was 1942 when a photograph of Bainbridge Island resident Fumiko Hayashida became an iconic image of internment.
“Tootie Pie”: 1:15 p.m. Putting into film the adage that friends are God’s way of apologizing for family.
“The Delivery”: 1:30 p.m. To what lengths does a person have to go to win over a reclusive neighbor?
“Free Parking”: 2:45 p.m. Sisters play out the board game “Monopoly” in real life.
“Queen to Play”: 3 p.m. Chess becomes a game changer for three lives when Helene learns to play.
Everett Library: Filmmaker Lucy Ostrander will introduce and screen her film “East of Occidental” at 2 p.m. Feb. 6 at the library, 2702 Hoyt Ave. The film is about the history of the International District in Seattle. After the screening, Ostrander will answer questions.
