EVERETT — Whether you collect art or want to, you might want to think about putting in a bid at the 30th annual H’Arts Auction.

The H’Arts or “Helping the Arts” auction includes artwork such as handblown glass, paintings, sculptures, prints, photography, mixed media, Japanese tansu, pottery and jewelry by noted regional artists.

More than 300 works of art are donated so there are lots of opportunities to add to your art collection, or get your new collection off to a robust start.

Besides art, other auction items include art experiences and services.

The H’Arts Benefit Auction is a premier art event and delivers all this and an animated evening of auctioneering starting at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Comcast Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

Tickets are $85 per person until through today. After today the ticket price increases to $100.

The event begins with three silent auctions followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the live auction with auctioneer Mark Schenfeld at 7:30 p.m. Call 425-259-5050 or go to schack.org to purchase tickets.

The auction raises money for the visual arts and connects the community with local artists, said Judy Tuohy, Schack’s executive director.

“This year, artists have truly stepped up with tremendous generosity by donating an amazing collection of artwork for the auction,” Tuohy said. “For any art collector or anyone wanting to start collecting, this is a must event.”

You can view the exhibit of artwork selected for the live auction through Thursday at the Schack Art Center, 2921 Hoyt Ave., Everett. Artwork may also be viewed at schack.org.
