O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree …

It’s that time of year again when we can nearly taste the turkey, smell the evergreen, and begin to shiver at the thought of shopping.

Beginning Friday, most tree farms around the county will be offering their firs, spruces and pines to the masses.

Along with trees, some provide hot beverages, candy canes and hayrides. Many have wreaths, cut greens and decorative gifts for sale. Some of the farms even offer flocking, bailing and cutting services.

Below is our list of local farms with tantalizing tannenbaums. Pick your pine at one of the three dozen farms on the list. Closing dates for the farms vary, so call ahead to make sure you will find what you’re looking for.
