Take Dad for a Father’s Day brunch and a sightseeing sail around Lake Union and Lake Washington aboard aboard one of Waterways Cruises’ three yachts.
Board the boat on the north end of Lake Union for the 11 a.m. cruise and brunch your way around the lakes beginning with a champagne toast and proceeding through the buffet, which includes smoked corn chowder, wild salmon with lemon horseradish mousse, prime rib, poached eggs with pesto and Parmesan, seafood and sushi.
The captain gives the history of local landmarks on the two-hour ride.
The Father’s Day brunch cruise costs $59 for adults, $53 for seniors and military, and $25 for children ages 5 to 12. Kids younger than 4 are free. Price does not include taxes, port fees or tips.
The company also offers happy hour cruises from 4 to 6 p.m. every Friday through Oct. 14.
For $45 per person (21 and older only), or $41 for seniors and military, you can snack on your choice of tacos and design your own martini or margarita while touring the lakes. Other drinks are available for purchase as well.
And if you’d like an on-the-water view of the Fourth of July fireworks or Seafair’s Blue Angels, sign on for the pricier events, which are $49 to $99, and include classic barbecue foods.
The Waterways dock is at 2441 N. Northlake Way, Seattle.
