The very versatile crepe, hands-on with Debbie Bodal, 6:40 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 28, $55. Menu: Crepes as a layered casserole, stuffed with seafood, filled with scrambled egg and smoked salmon, along with appetizer, lunch, dinner and dessert crepe ideas.

Chocolate, hands-on with Suzanne Hunter, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 30, $65. Topics will dipping it, molding it, making truffles and more; most recipes with dark chocolate, but some with milk and white, also.

Manners for young ladies and gentlemen with Lisa Fisher of Final Touch Finishing School, 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 26, $40, for ages 6 to 11. Topics include telephone etiquette, table manners, posture and more.

Macho man Super Bowl party with Theresa Schaudies and ShirleyAnne Schaudies, 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 28, $35. Menu: Brunch appetizers, chicken wings, bratwursts, side dishes, dessert coffees and cookies.

“Ratatouille” children’s cooking with Susan Russell, 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 30, $35, for ages 8 to 12, class limited to 10 students. Menu: Crepes, quiche lorraine, ratatouille.

Hearty dinner sandwiches with Conni Brownell, 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 19, $38. Menu: Meatballs with tomato sauce on garlic bread; grilled vegetable hero with walnut and parsley pesto; shrimp salad sandwiches with spicy ranch dressing; roasted chicken with fig-cranberry sauce sandwiches.

The joy of Thai cooking with Pranee Halvorsen, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 23, $55. Menu: Garlic prawns with black pepper and cilantro; cellophane noodle salad with minced pork; sweet and sour soup with fish; basil-seafood stir fry; banana in coconut milk.

An evening with Jim Roberts of The Cove Restaurant, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 24, $60. Menu: Oysters on the half-shell with apple mingnonette and spicy cocktail sauce; bacon-wrapped prawns, baked mussels, curried mussel bisque, sea scallops with carmelized balsamic onion, ahi with winter slaw, snapper baked over ragout of olives, anchovies and tomatoes.

Valentine cake decorating with Carol Richardson, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 30, $35. Learn to make roses, carnations, rosettes, hearts and reverse shell border, as well as gum paste techniques.

Tapas party, hands-on with Hope Sandler, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 31, $55. Menu: Tortilla espanola, Spanish omelet, garlicky shrimp, grilled portobello mushrooms with almond gremolata, serrano ham and manchego cheese crostini, herb-seasoned carrots, roasted almonds and marinated Spanish olives.

Jan. 31, winter comfort food, $42.50. Menu: Serrano chips with quince perserves and manchego; pork chop osso bucco on polenta with greens in garlic bread crumbs; grilled apple and goat cheese salad; pear and dried-cherry custard crisp.

Wine classes with Dieter Schafer: All take place at South Seattle Community College, 6000 16th Ave. SW, Seattle, unless otherwise noted.
