• Easy as pie: June 16, $48. Partial hands-on, class limited to 18. Carol Richardson-Marty, owner of Carol’s Creative Confections, will cover four different types of pie crusts (flaky, pate brisee, pate sucree and vanilla pastry) and various uses. Dishes include strawberry pie with whipped cream, peach and blueberry crostata; savory tomato, cheese and basil summer tart.

• BBQ and smoke: June 22, $50. Steve Freeman, owner and pitmaster of Celtic Cowboy, Edmonds, shares his spin on brines, rubs, meat cuts and smoker preparation. Samples of his work will include pulled pork, smoked chicken, brisket and some favorite side dishes.

• Garden party: 7 to 9 p.m. June 16, $30. Simple tips for setting the scene and creating a delicious menu, including strawberries with assorted dips, peppadew stuffed with goat cheese, cilantro shrimp salad, grilled chicken with blueberry-basil salsa and strawberry-peach gallette with brandied cream.

• Couples’ night out: 7 to 9 p.m. June 17, $60 per couple. Bring your sweetheart and learn about romantic dishes for two, such as roast loin of pork, scalloped potatoes, roasted vegetables and chocolate mousse for dessert, all paired with wines. (If you bring the kids, they can paint at the Clayful Creations Studio next door, while the grownups cook.

• New flavors for chicken: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 15, $45. Spice it up with Asian chicken burgers with miso sesame slaw, Indian spiced burgers with cumin yogurt sauce, chicken stir-fry in lettuce wraps and other recipes.

• Salmon: 6:30 to 9 p.m. June 16, $62. Hands-on lesson with information on fileting, steaks, butterflying, pin boning and skinning your fish. Meal will include spice-rubbed salmon and pan-seared salmon with fresh herb dressing.

• All-grill: 6:30 to 9 p.m. June 17, $55. Hands-on, making an entire dinner on an outdoor grill, even dessert. Recipes include: grilled flank steak with red wine sauce and compound butter, toasted hazelnuts and grilled chevre, roasted corn salad and seasonal berry shortcake.

• Mediterranean style bistro favorites: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 22, $45. Mediterranean fried chicken with artichoke salad, shellfish stew with green goddess sauce and more.
