Menu: savory tart selection — marinated chicken, fresh herbs and Parmesan cheese; baked feta cheese, roasted garlic and marinated figs; roasted red bell peppers, olives, basil and goat cheese; Dungeness crab, artichoke hearts and grana cheese; coconut prawns with sweet cilantro-chili sauce; puff pastries filled with asparagus, or with raspberry and brie cheese; roasted new potatoes filled with caramelized onions, bacon and creme fraiche.

Reduction sauces with Katherine Jordon, 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 12, $37.50. Menu: bacon-wrapped scallops in a port reduction; champagne chicken with wild mushrooms in a champagne-shallot-cream reduction; other sauces taught will include balsamic and balsamic cream; pesto cream; orange butter; pear brandy sauce.
