Summerlong tour: The Snohomish County Master Gardener Foundation’s annual garden-tour fundraiser will show off 15 residential gardens over four different Saturdays this summer.
Tour hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 12 and 26, July 17 and Aug. 7 at gardens clustered in Lynnwood, Mukilteo, Snohomish, Lake Stevens and Woodinville.
Tickets for $25 are good for all four tour dates. Buy them at the McCollum Park extension office, 600 128th St. SE, Everett, or send a check and three postage stamps per ticket to SCMGF 2010 Tours, 21506 12th Ave. W., Lynnwood, WA 98036.

Sorticulture: It’s nearly time for Everett’s free, three-day arts and garden festival, featuring multiple display gardens and more than 100 vendors, including specialty nurseries, tool vendors, garden artists, and food and beverage purveyors.
Hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 11, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 13, at Legion Park, 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett.
There will also be gardening demonstrations, celebrity speakers and live music.
Ciscoe Morris, the Northwest’s most beloved gardening goofball, will speak and answer questions about growing vegetables and fruit from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on June 12. He’ll talk about hummingbirds from 1 to 2:30 p.m. June 13.
Other speaker topics include urban chickens and how to grow edibles in containers. Sunnyside Nursery owner Steve Smith of Marysville will speak on a variety of hot topics for “Happy Hour” from 4 to 5 p.m. June 11.
