Want to see some cool old homes?
Go on Monroe Historical Society’s tour of six homes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 4.
The self-guided event begins at the 1908 Monroe City Hall Building and Historic Museum, 207 E. Main St. Tickets are $10. Most of the homeowners will be at their homes during the tour to answer questions about their restoration efforts.

2. Fall food
Learn about plant-based, animal-friendly diets and the benefits to animal welfare at “Cooking with PAWS: Fall Harvest.” The class includes an informational talk by Progressive Animal Welfare Society staff, a cooking demonstration of fall-themed dishes and heaping portions of the prepared foods.
The class is 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 3 at Verdant Community Wellness Center Teaching Kitchen, 4710 196th St. SW, Lynnwood. Cost is $20.

3. Kool, man
Kool-Aid Man has been bursting through walls for more than 40 years. Want him to crash through yours?
Kool-Aid is bringing its mascot’s signature crash to a fan in the real world with a sweepstakes called #KrashHere.
The walking-talking-smiling pitcher of cherry Kool-Aid will “krash” any occasion for the winner. Enter to win a surprise “krash” by Kool-Aid Man by tweeting Kool-Aid on Twitter (@koolaid) with why you should win and the hashtags #KrashHere and #contest.
The sweepstakes is through Nov. 11. The winner will be randomly selected. Entrants must be over 18 and live in the United States, excluding Hawaii and Alaska.
