What: Leycesteria formosa, Himalayan honeysuckle, is a vigorously growing shrub that has a wild exuberance.
Why: Himalayan honeysuckle is perfect for mixing with perennials or placing in a shrub border. Quick growing arching stems start flowering in mid summer and continue until early autumn. The chains of flowers are a lovely mix of dark red and white. In fall the fruit matures to a deep maroon and is quite striking.
