OK, you crazy cats. Are you ready for a boss bash?
Well, then, throw your mittens around your kittens and head for the Driftwood Players theater where you can join in at the “Grease Sing-Along.”
The ’50s-inspired cult movie classic “Grease” will be shown in karaoke style and you are invited to sing along with your favorite Pink Lady and T-Bird or do the hand-jive or let loose and be hopelessly devoted to the evening’s entertainment.
And arriving in costumes from the ’50s would be totally cool.
The evening begins with a Rydell High Dance-off, when the first 12 people on stage will compete for prizes for the top three winners. You can compete as an individual or as a couple, as long as you get up with the rest of the “kids” and shake it like you’re at a high school sock hop, ’50s-style dancing preferred. Winners will be selected by Brighton School’s fifth grade Destination Imagination Team.
“Grease Sing-a-Long” starts with a 6:30 p.m. pre-show Saturday at Driftwood’s Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Call 425-774-9600 or go to www.driftwoodplayers.com.
“Grease” is rated PG.
