I get a lot of emails telling me about shows happening between the Canadian boarder and Portland. Typically these emails are press releases about shows in Bellingham or Seattle. Sometimes Tacoma or Olympia. The email I got last night was a little different.
“Good music is on its way to Everett” is what the email said and that couldn’t be truer. This Thursday night at 8 p.m., the Anchor Pub is hosting the fourth birthday celebration of the Snohomish County Young Professional Network. Performing at the event is Seattle blues rock band Grizzled Mighty.
I guess this means the regularly scheduled Thursday night open mic is going to get pushed back a bit and I am very OK with that because Grizzled Mighty is pretty awesome. I really can’t think of a better way to spend a Thursday night in Everett.
Whether you are a young professional looking to network or just somebody who loves great music, this is something you shouldn’t miss. No telling when Everett will get another show this good on a weeknight.
