They want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen. Hair, that is.
Two groups will sponsor a Locks of Love event on Saturday for those who want to donate lengths of hair to a good cause.
Members of Girl Scout Troop 40830 and Service Unit 210 will accept 10-inch lengths of hair for the Locks of Love program from 10 am. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Pilchuck Elementary School, 12806 20th St. NE, Lake Stevens.
Locks of Love provides wigs and prosthetics for children with medical hair loss.
You can bring in already-cut hair or get your hair cut by a stylist from the Northwest Hair Academy. The beauty and cosmetology school is donating the stylists’ time for this cause.
Permed hair and hair that is colored but not bleached is acceptable.
