There is still time to register to own a rare art treasure in the annual H’Arts Auction set for Feb. 27 at the Everett Events Center.
Lots of one-of-a-kind artwork is up for bid, including gems produced by Snohomish County artists of the year, though no work from the late Genevieve Tuck will be on the auction block.
More than 400 art pieces are available for auction, including pieces by internationally known glass artists Dante Marioni and Preston Singletary, as well as a variety of art experiences, services and products ready to go to the highest bidder.
Artwork by 2010 Artist of the Year Jules Anslow is also on the auction block.
A preview of artwork in the live auction will be available online at www.artscouncilofsnoco.org starting Monday.
After 28 years, H’Arts — “Helping the Arts” — has become the premier Snohomish County art auction. This year, every dollar spent at the H’Arts Auction will go toward the Schack Art Center.
In 2006, the arts council initiated a $6 million capital campaign to build a multi-use regional arts center in downtown Everett. Today the campaign is in the home stretch with nearly 85 percent of the money raised.
The H’Arts Auction begins at 5 p.m. with the silent auction, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the live auction at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Everett Events Center, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.
Tickets are $85. Call 425-257-8380 to reserve tickets by Saturday.
