Hear guidebook author speak about best backpacking spots

Craig Romano, a prolific guidebook author, will speak about some of the best backpacking locations in Washington at the Mountaineers banquet on Nov. 1 in Arlington.

Romano will highlight destinations across the state. He will draw from his book “Backpacking Washington,” which includes 70 trips from 14 to 46 miles. Specially priced, signed books will be available at the event.

Tickets are $34 and must be purchased by Oct. 24 online here. The event includes dinner. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m. at the Medallion Hotel.
