A cash donation to benefit Northwest Harvest is all you need to hear the beautiful voices of the Northwest Chorale performing Handel’s “Messiah” Saturday in Edmonds.
The chorale gives free performances each Christmas season in the spirit of composer George Frederick Handel, who conducted his inspiring work many times to benefit Children’s Foundling Hospital of London.
The choral group will perform “Messiah” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St.
The Northwest Chorale, founded by director Lynn Hall in 1978, now has more than 60 members who rehearse and perform together because of their love of music. The Starry Night Chamber Orchestra of Mount Vernon will accompany the group at this concert.
