The Snohomish County Tourism Bureau just released the third edition of “Hiking in Snohomish County,” a free brochure that features 30 hikes around the county.
The guide includes local resources, driving directions, topographical maps, a list of accomodations, and a chart that gives each hike’s round-trip distance, a rating from easy to difficult, the best season to take the hike and the community closest to the start.
Featured hiking spots include beaches, scenic rivers, old-growth forests, alpine lakes, wildflower meadows, mountain tops, wildlife preserves, historic sites and waterfalls.
The brochure’s author, Craig Romano, has written nine guidebooks on hiking in Washington state.
