Plant sale: The Snohomish Conservation District is taking orders for the 2014 Conservation Plant Sale that will take place March 1 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe. Presale orders are being taken until Feb. 10. Plants include native trees, shrubs and ground covers. Northwest Flower &Garden Show: The annual show is set for Feb. 5 through 9 at Washington State Convention Center, Seventh and Pike, Seattle. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day but Sunday when the show closes at 6 p.m. Buy tickets online at www.gardenshow.com before Feb. 5 and save $5. Admission at the door is $22. Group rates available. Backyard birds: The Oak Harbor Garden Club offers a video presentation, “Birds, Backyard Habitat and Beyond,” with Craig and Joy Johnson at the monthly meeting Feb. 11 at the Oak Harbor First United Methodist Church, 1050 SE Ireland St. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. and the talk starts at 11:15. Arboretum tours: Reservations for custom group tours of the Evergreen Arboretum &Gardens are available all year by calling 425-257-8597.
