Meerkerk Gardens: Children can make their own fairy houses with natural materials from the surrounding gardens from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 7 at the Whidbey Island gardens. Bring a base to transport the creation if you want to take it home. Otherwise the houses will be placed in the woods and gardens to attract woodland critters. Admission for this event is $5. Snohomish Garden Tour: noon to 5 p.m. July 29. Urban and suburban gardens in and around Snohomish. Tickets are $12 and available in advance or on the day of the tour at Annie’s on First; Curly Willow; Joyworks; Kusler’s Pharmacy; McAuliffe’s Valley Nursery, McDaniel’s Do It Center, Machias Nursery; Molback’s; My Garden Nursery; and Sunnyside Nursery.Tickets also available on the website, www.snohomishgardenclub.com. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the tour at the Snohomish Library, Fourth Street and Maple, starting at 10:30 a.m. Children under 13 may take the tour free with a wristband obtained at the library.
