Camano Island Backyard Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour: Features landscaping for wildlife, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 24, at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 NE Camano Drive. Free. More at www.camanowildlifehabitat.org.

Edible Garden Tour: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 1, starting at Kirke Park, 7028 Ninth Ave. NW, Seattle. Self-guided walking/biking tour of a dozen Ballard urban farms and food gardens. The tour features creative ways to grow food in urban spaces, including the use of parking strips, containers and raised beds; easy to construct chicken coops and bee houses; many varieties of fruit trees, berry bushes and edible ground covers, in addition to a traditional garden bed.
