Mill Creek Garden Tour & Artisan Market returns
For the seventh time, Mill Creek Garden Club is presenting its Mill Creek Garden Tour & Artisan Market, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 22.
The tour serves as the club’s sole fundraising event each year. Last year, the tour netted $8,500, which was awarded this year through the club’s grants program to Farmer Frog, the Mill Creek Community Food Bank and Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County.
This year’s tour features six gardens, all in Mill Creek. And, once again, each garden will have an artisan selling crafts and garden-related gifts.
Advance tickets are $20, or $25 on the day of the tour. Tickets, which go on sale June 16, can be purchased at Town & Country Market (15605 Main St. in Mill Creek), ACE Hardware of Silver Lake (11014 19th Ave. SE, Ste. 100, in Everett), McAuliffe’s Valley Nursery (11910 Springhetti Road in Snohomish), Molbak’s Garden & Home (13625 NE 175th St. in Woodinville), Sky Nursery (18528 Aurora Ave. N in Shoreline) and Sunnyside Nursery (3915 Sunnyside Blvd. in Marysville).
The artwork chosen for the tour’s posters and the cover of the tour guide this year is “Poppy Remembrance” by Tom Traeger, which was donated by his widow, Bobbi. Packets of notecards with this vibrant painting on the front will be available for purchase.
