• Using and preserving herbs, 11 a.m. July 16; $5. Suzanne Butler lead an interactive session and talks about a variety of ways to preserve herbs for the winter as well as how to use both fresh and dried herbs in recipes.

• Midsummer nursery walk, 1 p.m. July 16. Ani Gurnee leads visitors through the gardens and greenhouses, answering any questions about the selection and care of specific plants and grasses. Reservations are required.

• It’s blueberry time, 11 a.m. July 30; $5. Matt Groff, a longtime blueberry farmer and Christianson’s staff member, reviews which varieties are best suited for this region and answers questions.

Mukilteo Quilt & Garden Tour: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 16 at eight gardens in and around scenic Mukilteo. More than 100 quilts will be displayed in the gardens on this tour, organized every other year by the Mukilteo Way Garden Club and Mukilteo Lighthouse Quilters. Coop of Dreams Tour: Meet the Flockers: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 23, Everett; free or a $10 suggested donation. Tour a dozen coops in north and south Everett as part of this second-annual event of the Riverside Neighborhood Association. Snohomish Garden Club garden tour: Noon to 5 p.m. July 31 at gardens in the Snohomish area. If you have a plant with a problem or disease, bring in a fresh plant sample that, if possible, includes the diseased area, a transition area and a healthy area. Photos are also helpful.
