If your morning Mountain Dew just isn’t doing it any more, build on a classic sugar rush.
Tootsie Roll Industries, the maker of Tootsie Pops, has launched Maxxed Energy Pops, an energy drink in the form of a lollipop.
The caffeine-laced pops come in packages that look like energy drink cans.
The lime-green pops taste like lime. They contain herbs and supplements such as taurine, ginseng and guarana.
They have 40 milligrams of caffeine (an 8-ounce coffee has about 95 milligrams), and plenty of sugar: 16 grams per pop, compared to 10 grams in a Tootsie Pop.
The pops cost about $1 at convenience stores.
