This convention promises to be horrible.
It’s Crypticon Horror Convention 2010, an event that devotes three days to all things ghoulish, ghastly and grisly.
The convention, to be held at the Holiday Inn in Everett, appeals to fans of the macabre with panel discussions on such topics as the “Nastiest Horror Films Ever” and “Crazy Fetishes in the Media.”
There also are sessions on zombie makeup, a fashion show, a late-night dance hosted by Stocker Farms of Snohomish and readings by some of the horror genre’s leading writers.
There are films to be seen and special guests to hear such as Kane Hodder of “Friday the 13th” film fame, actress Margot Kidder, “Buffy the Vampire’s” villain Camden Toy and “Ghostbusters” actor Ernie Hudson.
Visitors can choose from a wide variety of vendors including book, movie and toy sellers along with comics and clothing, and tattooing and piercing done on-site.
Special events include martial arts exhibitions and gaming opportunities.
The Crypticon Horror Convention runs from June 18 to 20 at the Holiday Inn, 3105 Pine St., Everett.
Advance electronic tickets are only available until Wednesday. Electronic tickets for day passes start at $10 for kids and $15 for adults. Prices go up at the door. Go to www.crypticonseattle.com.
