When it comes to finding green information about the presidential election, I’d recommend turning to Grist, a Seattle-based online magazine devoted to all things environmental.
Grist, as part of an ambitious schedule of interviews with candidates, has boiled down the energy plans of various Democrats and Republicans on a nifty Web page right here.
You can compare the candidates’ green positions using a handy chart, read a “quick-and-dirty” rundown on each candidate (with links to each interview and fact sheet) and, if you like, watch videos of some of the candidates speaking at the first-ever presidential candidate forum focused on climate change.
What will you find?
I was surprised to see that Hillary Clinton has released “one of the most comprehensive and well-researched energy plans of the campaign season” and that Barack Obama’s “thoughtful, detailed, expansive and ambitious” plan is as good as anything John Edwards, who’s been at it longer, has produced.
Check it out and be sure to watch for updates as the campaigns unfold.
