Go to the theater: Enjoy a diversity of music in the Northwest Savoyards’ new production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” which opens Friday at Historic Everett Theater. The performance will include a combo band on stage and will offer all types of music, from country to rock ‘n’ roll and a “really fun spin on Elvis,” one of the performers said. Find the details in our story here.
Hear a guitar god: One of rock ‘n’ roll’s best guitarists, Jeff Beck, is making a stop Friday night at The Moore in Seattle. Beck earned two entries in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: one for his time with the Yardbirds, the other as a solo artist. Find the details in our story here.
Take your pet to a party: Bring your pets to Zion Lutheran Church in Everett from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday for games, a pet parade, an owner and pet costume contest, pet portraits, and the opportunity to have you and your pets blessed by the pastor. You can bring a donation from the Progressive Animal Welfare Society’s wish list found at www.paws.org/gift-drive.html. The event will be in the church basement at 4834 Alger Ave. in Everett. Pets must be on a leash or in appropriate restraints.
Drink wine: It’s going to be a little drizzly this weekend, according to the forecast. Maybe it’s a good time to go enjoy a nice wine tasting. Look for locations in our listings here.
