Everett tour: Il Divo, a pop classical group that performed at one of President Barack Obama’s inaugural balls, plans to play Comcast Arena on June 2.
Tickets for “An Evening With Il Divo” go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, and range in price from $58.70 to $128.70.
Since forming in 2004, the vocal quartet has released several platinum albums. Il Divo’s most recent record, 2008’s “The Promise,” achieved gold record status in December.
The group’s new tour will be staged and choreographed by William Baker, who has worked with Kylie Minogue, on a state-of-the-art set. The group plans to wear a wardrobe designed by Giorgio Armani.
The group joins a growing list of upscale acts to play Comcast Arena. December saw the venue host both Broadway star Sarah Brightman and the quintet Celtic Thunder.
