Need a blankie? It’s not a Cabbage Patch doll.
It’s not a Beanie Babie.
But it’s the hot gift this Christmas.
Folks who want to be cozy this winter have found The Slanket. It’s a blanket with sleeves, made for wrapping around oneself while allowing access to the remote control.
Kind of the perfect item for a couch potato who wants to get baked, and keep on surfing, without exerting a muscle.
The Slanket has it’s own Web site (www.theslanket.com) but all models online are sold out. There was a green model available Friday at qvc.com, for $35.45, the only color left.
Folks on the cable channel’s Community Forum report that Slankets are reselling on eBay, some for more than $90. One sold early Wednesday afternoon for $91 and some were available to “buy now” for $99. Amazon.com had one left in stock as of Friday at a mere $149.95 and some “used or new” for $98 or less.
One forum contributor is going to take her five Slankets, bought for gifts, unwrap them, and double her money on eBay.
