The La Conner Institute of Performing Arts presents “Jazz Past &Present.”
The show is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Maple Hall, 104 Commercial Ave., La Conner. Tickets range from $15 to $17 and those under 16 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Tickets are available at the Next Chapter Bookstore, 721 S. First St., La Conner, or by calling 360-466-2665. A free pre-event lecture will be at 6:30 p.m. at the bookstore.
Pianist and composer Drew Pierson is based out of New York and studies at the Institute of Jazz Studies at the Julliard School of Music. Blending tradition and creativity, the program will feature both classic standards and original compositions, according to information about the concert.
