City of Lynnwood: The city of Lynnwood Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department offers classes for youth and families. Discounts are offered to residents of Lynnwood. For information and registration, call the Lynnwood Recreation Center, 425-771-4030:

* Teens’ Tuesdays, ages 13 to 18, 7 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday, free.

* Night Waves, grades seven to 12, 9:15 to 11:15 p.m. every Saturday, $3.

Club NOGGIN: 11 a.m. May 27, featuring Miffy the Bunny. An interactive educational experience for young children ages 3 to 6, developed by NOGGIN television, featuring free one-hour and 15 minute sessions where kids can play educational games and participate in large and small group activities supervised by trained activity leaders. Club NOGGIN is inside Alderwood Mall, across from Bon-Macy’s. Events are held monthly; 425-771-1121.

Everett Public Library: All children’s events are free and held at the library locations, unless otherwise marked. Some classes require registration. Main branch, 2702 Hoyt Ave., Everett; Evergreen branch, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett; 425-257-8030.

* Playgroup for parents and children, a drop-in playgroup, 10 a.m. to noon every Friday, Evergreen.

* Preschool story times, ages 2 to 3 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, and ages 3 to 6 at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Main; 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, Evergreen.

Arthur and Guinevere: Bainbridge Performing Arts fifth through 12th grade theater production class performs this musical adaptation, 7:30 p.m. June 10 and 11, 3 p.m. June 12, $12, $9 students and seniors. The Playhouse, 200 Madison Ave. N., Bainbridge Island; 206-842-8569.

“Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle”: Seattle Children’s Theatre presents the musical production of the Betty MacDonald book, 7 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 5:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, through June 13, $14 to $26. 201 Thomas St., Seattle; 206-441-3322.

The Reluctant Dragon: Bainbridge Performing Arts first through fourth grade theater school class performs this story about a dragon who didnt want to be mean, 5 p.m. June 9, donations accepted. The Playhouse, 200 Madison Ave. N., Bainbridge Island; 206-842-8569.

Soundbridge: Soundbridge, Seattle Symphony Music Discovery Center at Benaroya Hall, offers music classes to people of all ages and skill levels. Soundbridge features exhibits, classes and opportunities to meet Seattle Symphony musicians. Admission is $7, $5 for children. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Class costs vary; reservations required. 200 University St., Seattle; 206-336-6600.

Woodland Park Zoo: 5500 Phinney Ave., Seattle; 206-684-4800, www.zoo.org. Summer hours: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through Sept. 14. Admission: $10, $7 ages 3 to 12.

* “Butterflies &Blooms” reopens for its seventh year and features nearly 1,000 butterflies, representing 35 to 50 North American species, flowering plants and an outdoor conservation garden, $2 in addition to zoo admission.

* “Masters of the Web,” a new spider exhibit featuring a variety of exotic and local spiders, educational information, interactive experiences, May 29 to Oct. 31.
