Join a celebration of public radio from 6 to 10 p.m. Sept. 13 at On Air, the annual KSER Foundation fundraiser featuring dinner, two hours of great music and the presentation of the KSER Voice of the Community Award.
KSER 90.7 FM is an independent public radio station serving Snohomish County and north Puget Sound.
The On Air event occurs at Trident Union Building at Edmonds Community College, 20000 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood.
Grammy winners Tingstad and Rumbel headline the concert, preceded by Afro-Cuban percussionist Mark Lilly. Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel create classically inspired music and combine it with storytelling that speaks to the heart. Lilly synthesizes American jazz and Afro-Cuban music.
The KSER Voice of the Community Award, which recognizes an individual for making a difference by giving voice to community concerns, will be presented. KSER is accepting nominations for this award through today. For more information and a nomination form, go to www.kser.org.
Tickets to On Air are $60 per person, which includes dinner. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. Tickets may be ordered at www.kser.org through Sept. 8.
