Lake Forest Park’s Secret Gardens open Saturday for tour, plant sale

The Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park will be revealed today.

Visitors to the Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park Garden Tour and Plant Sale can walk among beautiful blooms, listen to live music and watch artists in action all in one trip.

This year, artists at work will include metal sculptor Roger Squirrell, ceramicist Mike O’Day, jeweler Christine Stoll, plein air oil painter Amy Pleasant, and Muriel Fisher, who paints and draws.

Live entertainment will include jazz musician Mike Good, Laughing Rose and Bradshaw, Susan Moore and Danick Jawer, and Stephen Kennedy playing the bass.

Ciscoe Morris will be broadcasting live on KIRO (97.3 FM) radio from the Lake Forest Park Towne Centre between 10 a.m. and noon.

The ninth annual Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park Garden Tour and Plant Sale is part of the city of Lake Forest Park’s 50th anniversary celebration.

The garden plant sale is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Forest Park Towne Centre at the intersection of Ballinger Way NE and Bothell Way NE. Tickets to the Secret Gardens tour, which is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., can be purchased for $15 at the plant sale. For more information go to www.lfpgardentour.com.
