Apples and furry friends take center stage from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Langley’s Historic Bayview Corner during the 12th annual Apple Day and (simultaneous) fifth annual Mutt Strut.
The rain-or-shine festivities will take place at 5603 Bayview Road. Admission is free.
Guests of all ages can watch — and then sample the results — as Bayview Farm &Garden staff members use apple-pressing machines to produce fresh cider.
Other activities include live music, face painting, pumpkin painting and voting for the best scarecrow.
For the above-mentioned furry friends, Mutt Strut registration begins at 12:30 p.m., while the strut itself — that is, the parade — begins at 1:30 p.m.
Strut awards will include the categories of “Best Dog Costume,” “Best Owner and Dog Costume Combo,” “Best Trick” and “Best Celebrity Costume (for a dog).”
