Wouldn’t it be great to walk out in your yard and pluck enough blueberries for your cereal bowl each day?
Master gardener Bob Barca will discuss planting and caring for berries, all kinds of berries, that thrive in Northwest gardens, from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lynnwood Library.
Barca, the owner of Hummingbird Hill Garden on Whidbey Island, will talk about strawberries, raspberries, blackberry cultivars and even figs in this free seminar.
Barca established Hummingbird Hill, a wildlife sanctuary, in 1980 and gives gardening lectures around the country.
The event takes place in the large meeting room of the Lynnwood Library, 19200 44th Ave. W. Call 425-778-2148 or go to the library website, www.sno-isle.org for more library events.
