Unlike ducks, we humans don’t naturally take to the water, so it’s no shock that the Lake Stevens Rowing Club begins rowing classes on land.
The club plans to launch its Learn to Row course on June 30. The first lesson takes place in a boat shed, with participants learning the importance of body placement and correct movement. The next nine courses glide onto the lake.
The five-week course costs $110 and is open to ages 19 and older. It meets twice weekly starting on June 30, for its Monday and Wednesday class, or starting on July 1, for its Tuesday and Thursday class.
To register for the course or for more information, call 888-769-5772 or go to www.lakestevensrowing.com.
