What: The Everett branch of the Mountaineers will offer an introduction to snowshoeing course that provides basic knowledge of techniques, outings and required gear. No experience is necessary. Learn what to expect on a Mountaineers’ snowshoeing trip and qualify to go on trips offered at other Mountaineer branches.
When: Registration is open now through Jan. 6, but space is limited. Lectures will be 7 to 9:30 p.m. Jan. 10 and 17. There will be an all-day field trip Jan. 29.
Where: Lectures will be at Cascade Crags in Everett, and the field trip will be near Stevens Pass.
Cost: Mountaineers pay $39 per person and nonmembers pay $49. You don’t have to be a member of the Mountaineers to take the class, but you can go on unlimited activities and trips after the class if you become a member.
