At Second City, comedy is taken seriously. Very seriously.
The comedy school originated in 1959 in Chicago and launched the careers of a few actors you m
ay know, including John Belushi, Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray and Gilda Radner. Some of today’s most hilarious people on television — Steve Carell, Jane Lynch and Tina Fey — started at Second City.
Since the early ’60s, Second City has taken its show on the road and “Fair & Unbalanced” is the latest touring production which is scheduled to make a stop in Edmonds.
The show takes unbridled comic pleasure in the foibles of politicians, celebrities and more. No institution escapes the satiric eye of The Second City, from the blowhards of the Beltway to the Hollywood elite.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Edmonds Center for the Arts.
Tickets cost $15 to $35 and are available at www.ec4arts.org or 425-275-9595.
