Let’s Go

Round ‘em up and head on down to the Bullriders Challenge at 8 tonight at the Everett Events Center.

More than 30 top professional bull riders from the Columbia River circuit and as far away as California, Montana and Wyoming ride for eight seconds while competing for top honors.

Watch as riders challenge 30 of the toughest bulls, provided by Gold Buckle Rodeo Co., in competition for a purse of more than $10,000. One lucky bull rider may walk away with an extra $1,000 bounty bull prize.

In addition to pro-rider competition, there will be free pony rides for kids. Cowhands weighing in at 60 pounds or less can test their skills in the popular “mutton bustin’” competition. Or show off your skills as a top rider on the robotic bucking bronc.

Tickets are $10 to $30 and a portion of sales go to support the Equifriends Therapeutic Riding Program of Snohomish County, which provides therapeutic horseback riding to people with disabilities. The event is presented by Texaco Xpress Lube.

Tickets are available at the box office or at www.everetteventscenter.com. For information, call 866-332-8499.
