Discover what ghosts haunt the Evergreen Cemetery with a Historic Evergreen Cemetery Tour. It’s a fun and interesting way to learn the local history and biography of some of Everett’s famous and not-so-famous predecessors.
Local historians David Dilgard and Jack O’Donnell lead the tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Some of the more famous dearly departed include Louis K. Church, a governor of the Dakota Territory; David Marston Clough, a governor of Minnesota and a timber baron; and Roland Hill Hartley, governor of Washington (1925-1933) and mayor of Everett (1909-1913).
U.S. Senators Henry ‘Scoop’ Jackson and Monrad Wallgren are also buried in Evergreen Cemetery.
