Village Community Services is hosting a special free matinee screening of the acclaimed documentary “Wally,” by Everett filmmaker Bob Fink.
The film will show at 2 p.m. Feb. 10 at Old Arlington High School, 135 N. French Ave., Arlington. A panel discussion featuring the filmmaker will follow the free screening.
“Wally” is about Wally Meyer Jr., who was born with cerebral palsy 56 years ago on his parents’ homesteaded property in rural Lake Stevens. He spent his entire life there tending the acreage, never being taught the skills of independent living. When his parents died without making plans for his future, his younger sister, Cassie, was left with a dilemma.
“Wally” is not rated. It contains adult themes.
Village Community Services is an organization that works with people with developmental disabilities.
