Long-time favorites, music fit for the whole family, jazz, the Kings of Mongrel Folk, and an Elvis impersonator are part of the musical offerings in this area.

Reilly &Maloney: The magic’s still working for folksingers Ginny Reilly and David Maloney, who have a busy schedule in Western Washington, including free performances Sunday and Aug. 6.

Reilly still delivers her sweet vocals to complement Maloney’s tenor and strong guitar arrangements.

Catch them at 3 p.m. Sunday at Edmonds City Park, Third Avenue and Pine Street; or 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Park at Bothell Landing.

Jazz: Soundsation Jazz Camp is for players but performances are for everyone at Edmonds Community College (20000 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood; 425-640-1650):

* Soundsations. EdCC’s vocal jazz choir performs selections from its new CD, “Dig Count Basie.” 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Triton Union Building 202; free.

* Just for Kicks. The a cappella vocal quartet features EdCC music instructor Kirk Marcy. 7:30 p.m. Monday, Triton Union Building 202; $10.

* Duffy Jackson. Well-known drummer, bassist, pianist and vocalist performs 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Triton Union Building 202; $10.

* Gala Finale Concert. Jazz camp singers and instrumentalists perform 2 p.m. Aug. 7, Seaview Gym; free.

Expression Latina: The flashy 12-piece orchestra with synchronized movements balancing horns, rhythm and percussions sessions with three vocalists. Expect meringue, bolero, cumbia, Latin jazz and other styles under the salsa banner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Port Gardner Landing, Everett (free).

Elvis: Justin Shandor brings his high-energy tribute act to the Tulalip Casino, tapping into all the eras from 1950s to Vegas. The free show starts at 9 p.m. Thursday and Aug. 6.

Brian Waite: Expect music with comedy, dancing, games, original and classic children’s tunes, and positive messages. Two free area shows are at noon Tuesday at Legion Park, Everett; and 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Frances Anderson Center (outdoors), 700 Main St., Edmonds.

Jazzstrings: Dave and Candace Brown, who are joined by a rotating line-up of Northwest jazz performers, take listeners on a swinging trip through time, from songs of the roaring ’20s to sweet blues of the ’30s to swinging dance tunes of the ’40s. 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Forest Park, Everett.

Kings of Mongrel Folk: Don’t let the name fool you. Mark Graham and Orville Johnson are respected and talented roots musicians appearing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Duvall’s McCormick Park. The Renton-born Graham (long-time Open House player) was a Seattle street musician and played with old-time string bands. Johnson makes any song sound better with his vocals, guitar and dobro.

Local favorites Reilly &Maloney have two appearances set.

Just for Kicks performs Monday night in Lynnwood.
