Calling all fans of Middle Earth.
The Munich Symphony Orchestra, together with the Pacific Chorale and the Phoenix Boys Choir, will present a live performance of the score of “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring,” while the film is shown on a 60-foot, high-definition screen, on Wednesday in Seattle.
Ludwig Wicki, the maestro of composer Howard Shore’s “Ring” music, will conduct the performance.
The score won an Academy Award.
Concertgoers will have an opportunity to see a collection of movie props from the production.
The display includes iconic weapons, shields, helmets and costumes, including Frodo’s sword “Sting,” Gimli’s battle-axe, a complete Ringwraith costume and a pair of hairy Hobbit feet.
The concert and movie will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at KeyArena, 305 Harrison St., Seattle.
