Summer lunchtime concerts get into swing this coming week when “Music on the Plaza” kicks off at 11:30 a.m. July 6.
This is the seventh year that free weekly concerts have been offered in the Snohomish County campus amphitheater near the intersection of Rockefeller Avenue and Wall Street.
“During the few weeks of sun we get each summer, these concerts are a fantastic way to enjoy a Wednesday lunch outside,” Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon said in a press release.
Three of the eight scheduled bands include county employees.
The series is presented by the Snohomish County Executive Office and the Snohomish County Arts Commission.
Kettle corn and other food will be available for purchase, as well as local flowers.
Musicians are scheduled to perform from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Here’s the lineup:
July 6: Mission Mountain Trio, old-fashioned bluegrass
July 13: Rikers Island Blues Band, blues and swing
