Outdoors activities for people over 55: Trips that include kayaking, hiking and fishing are available online through the City of Lynnwood Parks and Recreation Department.
A series of daylong hikes runs through the summer. Destinations include Whidbey Island, Mount Rainier and Mount Baker. A wildflower hike on Highway 20 in Skagit Valley is scheduled for July 1.
Kayaking trips go to Alki, Lake Sammamish and Lake Samish.
Space is still available for a fishing trip to Cranberry Lake.

Registration guidelines are specific:
“On registration days, registration begins at 9 a.m. in person at the Senior Center. In-person registration is by lottery and is limited to yourself plus one additional person per trip. To register by phone with a credit card, call the Senior Center at 425-744-6464 after 10 a.m. on the day of registration or the Recreation Center at 425-771-4030 after noon.”
Costs range from $10 for members for small trips to $21 for nonmembers for longer trips.
