In the “Shadowhunters” summer premiere, the Shadowhunters and Downworlders are picking up the pieces after Valentine’s attack at the Institute. Downworlder numbers are sagging and the different clans debate over what they must do to survive. 8 p.m., Freeform.
Here’s a good title and some good advice: “If You’re Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast.” It’s a heartwarming documentary that follows comedy icon Carl Reiner as he tracks down some folks who are living life to the fullest after the age of 90. The roster includes Mel Brooks, Betty White, Stan Lee, Dick Van Dyke and many more. 8 p.m., HBO.
