Two classic movies are celebrating a 50th anniversary this year, “West Side Story” and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” and the Galaxy Monroe theater will show them both Wednesday.
Turner Classic Movies and NCM Fathom present the one-time showing of “West Side Story,” which includes a conversation hosted by Turner Classics’ Robert Osborne with Walter Mirisch, producer of the movie; George Chakiris (Bernardo); and Natalie Wood’s voice double, Marni Nixon. Natalie Wood played Maria.
The special showing of “West Side Story” will be shown locally at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Galaxy Monroe, 1 Galaxy Way, Monroe, 360-863-0909; and at Alderwood 7, 3501 184th St. SW, Lynnwood. 425-776-3535.
The Monroe theater is also showing “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” starring Audrey Hepburn as kooky socialite Holly Golightly, at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
